Graham was brought up on a farm in Kirriemuir with a true understanding of the country life.  On leaving school, Graham undertook a five-year City and Guilds cookery course before undertaking his apprenticeship with United Biscuits.

He has held senior positions in kitchens since the age of  22, working in the Ardoe House Hotel, Queens Moat House, Holiday Inn,  Crown Plaza, and until December 2014 worked with the Aberdeen Marriott Hotel as Executive Chef. 

 Graham joined Highland Cuisine (now Thainstone Events) in 1998 to open the Barn And Bushel restaurant (now the Porterhouse), and spent 11 years with the company as Operations Manager.  After a restructure, Graham returned to the Thainstone Events team as General Manager in December 2014.
